What about the game?
Baja1000 for the Xbox 360 was a game that sailed past me in a sea of un-popular games, when game time was dominated by the crowds of AAA titles sucking hours of play from the masses.
Fast forward a decade and a half and this gives me time to go find all the missed games that I might have enjoyed in the 360’s hayday. S
Score International Baja1000 is an off road racer along the lines of most of its genre, featuring 3 classes of vehicles, bikes, ATV’s and Buggies, all to race in multiple off road tracks. The game offers multiple modes, exhibition (single race), career mode, multiplayer – local and online (probably defunct by now).
Hoping in to a single race I found my self at first being sceptical about the handling characteristics of the bike, but after settling for a minute or two the game play kicks in nicely, if you set the difficulty to your skill,4 in my case I found the races fair challenging, and the physics and the crashes are highly amusing and annoying at the same time.
All 3 vehicles behave differently on track and have their own individual strengths and weaknesses whilst racing.
This is definitely worth a check if off road racing is your bag and its good for a quick play when time is short.
